Crawdads!

Living on property with a creek makes for some good crawdad catching.
Last year Seth bought a few traps and would catch them and cook them every night. We started that this year as well, only after about a week, built a live well. This is so we can catch them, and then place them into the live well that goes back into the creek so they can live and then when we get quite a few we are going to have a big crawdad feed & BBQ. Here is what we have in there so far. There are a little over 60 in here right now, although it doesn't look that way!

USA! USA! USA!

Remember 1999?! I do! As an avid soccer player since the age of 3 I remember how excited I was that the womens team won the World Cup! I was even lucky enough to watch them play on their victory tour afterwards in Portland. I don't follow soccer as much anymore, but today's game is special. And as I snuggle up on the couch on this rainy dreary day, the Fifa Womens World Cup is on TV, I get to tell my hubby all my old soccer stories, and about the players on the 99' team. And my crazy obsession with Mia Hamm, from cleats, to jerseys to anything with the #9 on it.
Go Teams USA!!!

Guilty Pleasure-Reality TV

I'll be the first to admit, I am obsessed with reality TV!
Currently one of my most favorite shows is on
Do you watch?
Between this and just about any reality show on MTV I have a show on just about every night!
Thank goodness for DVR.
I don't sit and watch TV everynight in the summer so it's nice to have it all recording to watch as I have time. :)
It's almsot Friday! WOOHOO!

Red River Blue

All I can say is AMAZING!
If you aren't a country music fan, this album will make you one. Not one song is worthy of a skip.
I give it 5 Stars and highly recommend you give it a listenin' to.

The Title

A Day in the Life of a Cowboys Wife

My husband is my life. Although he can be rough around the edges, he has a heart of gold. I would like to share to you all, what an amazing man he is, and about our life we have built together.
When I need a song to sum him up, Tim McGraw's Cowboy in Me comes to mind first. Although this doesn't define him completely. It reminds me of him when he has his days...
It's just the cowboy in him. ♥

♪"I don't know why I act the way I do
Like I ain't got a single thing to lose
Sometimes I'm my own worst enemy
I guess that's just the cowboy in me
I got a life that most would love to have
But sometimes I still wake up fightin' mad
At where this road I'm heading down might lead
I guess that's just the cowboy in me
The urge to run, the restlessness
The heart of stone I sometimes get
The things I've done for foolish pride
The me that's never satisfied
The face that's in the mirror when I don't like what I see
I guess that's just the cowboy in me
Girl I know there's times you must have thought
There ain't a line you've drawn I haven't crossed
But you set your mind to see this love on through
I guess that's just the cowboy in you
We ride and never worry about the fall
I guess that's just the cowboy in us all"♪

I'm Back!

I really super duper love love love reading blogs. However, I never know really what to say in mine. Last run at this didn't go so swell. So I am starting over fresh. A little older, and a little wiser ;) Instead of a slab of information, I am going more for my feelings, my sights, my beliefs, my blog, the way I want it.
So both new and old...
